Seems like half of Suffern yard is filled with these dirt cars. Looks like they're getting ready for a big shipment
I think it may be possible that NJ Transit might not be the perfect, infallible organization that most people assume it is.

Heard lots of horns tonight blowing for crossings coming from that general vicinity (I'm a few blocks from the Passaic station on the Main Line) from about 12:45 AM to right about now (1:00 AM). Might be a train moving on that line now. (There aren't any grade crossings on the Main Line.)

they're doing track maintenance on Clifton blvd right outside x-l hope that means more trains !

Train ran last night around 11pm a Roche single loco (5616) , no cars for van ness simple spine car drop & pick up 12 & 12 , single loco working hard to pull cars up the grade notch 8 great sound !!!!

amazing horn show past clifton station. noticed this morning one covered hopper missing from X-L plastics. wonder if it's the same train going to roche

It would be the same train. H-56 does both X-L Plastics and Newark Branch.
