The first MOPW unit ethanol train was delivered to the P&W at Gardner this afternoon. At Gardner the train was split. The P&W crew took roughly 50 tanks south, leaving the rest on the # 2 main. NS power running through.

Wonder why the P&W split it up?

Is a C40-9 only good for 2,000 tons on the branch, or is there an overall tonnage restriction?

According to the PW Yahoo Group, the remaining 30 cars were southbound with PW 4005 and 4004 soon after.
