Hi all,

Long time reader of this forum but first post. Frequently on the 5:29 PM train to Southeast, we get held at a station and an announcement is made to check the "scroll light." The doors reopen and close once again, sometimes more than once, before we are clear to continue. The 5:29 train is usually an M3.

What does the "scroll light" mean? Is this an indicator that the doors did not all close correctly?

Thanks in advance!

It's "door light". Someone one must have a thick accent on that crew. But it's just a light that comes on in the cab or door panel to indicate that the doors are all closed. So if a door hangs up the crew has to go "look for a door light" ie a door not closing properly.

That makes more sense! Thanks!
