I was recently looking at the map and some of the areas on the deteriorating CSX Northern Branch. Seeing where these tracks lead through and how it at one time was a passenger line, was there ever a proposal for NJT to run commuter operations on this line at anytime (not light rail like the most recent proposals)? This line reminds me somewhat of the Pascack Valley Line, and it strikes me as odd that NJ Transit never capitalized on this line. There are plenty of communities similar to those that are on the Pascack Valley Line. Thanks
