If you've looked at the Pennsylvania or New York forums within the last month or two, you may already know about my effort to reassemble the Geological Survey map JPGs available at the University of New Hampshire and Maptech web sites.

The maps for both Delaware and Maryland have been completed and are now available at http://67.51.174.143 . There are about 90 all told, with publication dates ranging from 1885 to 1936. If you like your maps to have more railroads and less interstates, these will be just what you had in mind.

All of the Delaware and Maryland maps have been reassembled, georeferenced, and enhanced, in an attempt to improve quality. (Actually, the Delaware maps have been available for about a week.) A relatively small sample of the difference between the old and new versions can be found at ftp://67.51.174.143/OldUSGS/BeforeAndAfter4-75PC.jpg .
