I know there weren't many; I just picked up a nicely painted HO FA-2 done as PC 1345 (NYC 1045) and I'm wondering if it's correct. From what I can gather, 1045 lasted long enough to become 1345 but the only picture I've found is an early 1968 shot of it still in the last NYC paint, but renumbered.

Apparently all that remained were off the roster by 1971, traded in to GE, so if it did get a repaint photos of it will be few and far between.

The book "Penn Central Power" shows photos of two PC FA's that got repainted in PC black
with PC lettering and logos, 1330 and 1333, both ex-NH.

And I found a photo on-line of a third one, 1350, ex NYC:

Thats three..that might be it.

That might well be it because none of the Alco cab units stayed around any longer than absolutely necessary.

Not a big distinction, but those locomotives (ex-NH 0401 and 0428) were FA1s, not FA2s. They lasted in service out of Boston through 1969, usually working on Boston-Walpole-Framingham-Lowell freights BL-1 and LB-2. The 0401/1330 still exists at the Railroad Museum of New England.

The"Penn Central System Bi-Annual" lists FA2s 1350,1349,and 1345 as painted in PC colors.

1345, there it is. Now for the long shot of a photo.

1350 the numbers and logo are different; it's also a red P logo engine.
