Looks like a NS SW 1000 or 1500 at Wayne shop this am. Didn't get a good look. Guess no West Chester ALCO again for gel train season.

In classic form, SEPTA does not want to invest any money in keeping a line open that they do not have to run their own equipment over. They themselves get ballast out of the Glen Mills quarry, however they TRUCK it out. To reopen the line SEPTA would have to invest under $1 million to fix a few issues, as the studies have been done already. Unfortunately they have taken the attitude of simply washing their hands of it. Its too bad since they already invested $10 million in stimulus funds in 2009-10 to stabilize the slope, build a retaining wall, and lay new ties/rail at Lenni in anticipation for the Wawa extension. That went right out the window...
