It's not so much the logo that ruins it for me but the grills near the rear.

The T logo is overdone. With that said does anyone have a daytime pic of it?

Thanks for the link Dutch. The logo still seem a little big, but the loco looks ok. Just hard to get used to after seeing gp-40s and f40s all time

The black stripe and underside and black portion of the roof should wear grime a lot better than the silver the current fleet has. The purple third of the roof looks weird, and that will not wear so well when it gets dirty and soot-covered with time. I personally think they got about 80% of the way there to a really good paint job, so that's minor annoyance.

The Home Depot screen doors are irredeemable, though. It doesn't just look unattractive, it looks like cheap and flimsy construction (whether it actually is or not, it gives the distinct visual impression of cheapness).

What's the purpose of the steps at the bow? Is there a brake handle there? And are those screens used for air intake? If so, will they clog with leaves in the fall?

The screens supply both cooling air and air intake for diesel, the screens are same size as on a Genesis locomotive.
and no those have no problem with clogged screens as cooling fan cycles on and off so leaves blow off
