i was hearing the ig dispatcher out in cleveland on saturday morning from buffalo on route 5 along lake erie.

a good spot for radio skips i've heard from railfans is just west of syracuse on route 5, route 20, or the seneca turnpike hearing the csx dispatchers from all across upstate ny.

tonight at rogers road just west of buffalo i was hearing the csx ih dispatcher off the painesville and ashtabula bases. i also heard the ns youngstown line dispatcher off the conneaut base.

These are pretty much all night-time transmissions I assume? Good stories........It's amazing how far these
transmissions carry when there is less interference in the air! ;-)

When I still had a working roof antenna, I occasionally heard Savannah, GA's CSX yard and quite frequently CSX's AA dispatcher talking from either the Dade City or Bushnell antenna from my home in Jacksonville on clear nights.

that is a strong radio skip in the southeast there. must be the humid weather i'm guessing.
