Is this an old ROW into Arborway Yard?

On this map there is a property line corridor connecting Meehan St., Stonely Rd., and Forest Hills. Was it an old streetcar entry, or el offshoot?

No, it was neither. Stonley Road has been through changes during its past, most as a result of tunneling the Stony Brook underground at this location. As Stonley Road and it's predecessor name, Stony Brook Road, it bordered the Arborway facility, and in fact was an entrance to The Arboway at it's southern end for rubber tired vehicles. There were no tracks on it. Stony Brook Road was an industrial zone with companies like Burbank Paint and Walberg Brewing (relative of Donny ?) occupying it. The brewery occupied the last southern lot on Stony Brook Road right at the gate for entrance into the Arborway yard which expanded out at this location, occupying more eastern property which is where the storage yards were. Adjacent to Stonley/Stony Brook inside the confines of the Arborway yard were the lead tracks to (first) the Forest Hills Carhouse #1 which later became the Lotus Place Car House. Lotus Place ultimately became Brookley Road. If you want to read some interesting reading, I suggest taking a look on-line at the Jamaica Plain Historical Society's articles regarding the Stony Brook in times gone by. It was quite a force to be contended with. It's still there, now just running silently (almost) where we can't see it anymore.

Well done, Noah ! The Stony Brook really shaped a lot of Boston's landmarks. The Boston & Providence Railroad followed it when they layed their Boston-Providence Main Line. There is a great true story that I love that the J.P. Historical Society tells of a couple of guys, soon after the Brook was culverted underground, that took a white water excursion in a row boat from Forest Hills to the Muddy River in the Back Bay ! They were equipped with only a kerosene lantern and the water became so rough that one of them almost drowned. They got to the Back Bay, then returned to Forest Hills in the same manner in which they got there ! There are locations where in the wee hours, you can hear the Stony Brook rushing underneath your feet !
