I'm trying to find out what type of protection was in place in 1891 where the CL&W crossed the LS&MS at Elyria and the Big 4 at Grafton. Both locations eventually had big interlocking plants. Were such installed as early as the 1890"s? If not, what was the system back then? WJPowers
