New member - Hi to everyone - Can anyone help me with some info on this old train? Its the old armory line in enfield ct. The picture was taken in 1896. I know its a (4-4-0) but thats all i know. This is 1 of only 2 known pictures ever taken of it. One very nice picture to have in my collection. Thanks if someone can help. Jim - (oldtrainjim)

I can't provide you with a direct answer, but you may want to try posting on Fallen Flags - NYNH&H on this site and also contacting the New Haven Railroad Historical & Technical Association at www.nhrhta.org if you haven't already tried there.

.500 would be a good average for fantasy bbl, but not for posting attempts. Who knows -- mebbe the nhrhta site got hacked by the ghost of Patrick B. McGinnis...

The Scitico station stood at the Hazard Ave grade crossing. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for some more pictures: http://www.tylercitystation.info/stations-h-ha.html.

The trestle depicted is just south and it is still standing - north is left in this aerial shot : http://binged.it/VxOLyG
