I just got hired for a company named transtar which owns the union railroad in pittsburgh pa [ a subsidary company of US Steel}.... I got hired as Extra Board Brakeman... Looking to find out any info about this job and if its worth taking as a job,,, as in if extra board gets enough hours in a week or if its a long list in which you never get a shift

Did you take this job? I just took test with Transtar (union Railroad). I am currently union roofer but looking for career change. What is hiring process and how long before they got back to you with test score? Any help would be great.
