A couple of weeks ago I gave them a 10 foot long blueprint of a map of the LIRR dated 1925. It shows all tracks stations, sidings, and spurs. Its purpose was to show bus routes; it is remarkable that there were bus routes in Nassau and Suffolk that far back.
Someone gave it to me in 1990 from his attic. He was not a railfan, but knew I was. I figured the public should be able to see it. And I rather it go to the museum than an individual on ebay where no one else would see it. Give the museum a visit. They deserve our support.
