Enjoy a special rare mileage excursion sponsored by the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum and operated over the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad on Saturday, October 27. This will be one of the first public passenger excursions operated over the LAL in many years.

The excursion will consist of two ex-NYC coaches and one RPO power car, hauled by Alco locomotives provided by the LAL. The trip will operate from Lakeville to Mortimer and return. Photo run-bys and a box lunch are included in the price of your ticket. All proceeds go towards supporting the preservation activities of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.

Tickets are $99.00 each, and must be purchased by October 15, 2012. Tickets may be purchased from our web site at www.rgvrrm.org - All seating is first come, first served.

Please contact me if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on the train!

Right now the plan is to run from Lakeville north to Mortimer. Plans are subject to change, however...

The coaches and RPO that will be used are indeed from the R&GV Railroad Museum's fleet of historic excursions...

I had a schedule conflict and was disappointed not to be able to take this trip. I would certainly enjoy seeing any photos, if people didn't mind posting some. I hope it was a success!

By all accounts, it was a great success. 150 passengers, many photo stops, and everyone had high praise and good feedback. We look forward to running more trips in the future! Stay tuned...
