I was following a topic over on the Conrail board about the first Conrail repaint. What was the first ex-Conrail locomotive painted into NS colors? Google turned up no results.

According to the article among the first, if not the first repainted units, were GP38ACs 4129-4132 which were released from the Roanoke paint shop in October of 1983.
