Altoona Railfest 2005 Dates Changed

On Yahoo Central Pa Railfan, Scott Cessna confirmed that Altoona Railfest will be on September 24th and 25th of 2005 instead of the traditional first weekend of October. Scott's reasons were that the 25th Anniversary of the Altoona Railroaders Museum is the last week of September, and he also wanted to coordinate the Railfest with other Autumn events happening in the area that weekend. Other announcemenrs by Scott Cessna are a major private donation well in excess of $200,000 which will allow the completion of the Quarter Roundhouse which will house the K-4 upon its return to Altoona. Scott also announced that a Webcam will be installed at Horseshoe Curve in the near future,( sounds like this year) which will allow live viewing of trains rounding Horseshoe.
