Re: busiest spot on the ex cr by charlie6017 Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:03 am I would guess that it would be the ex-NYC between Chicago and Cleveland. Charlie ~Charlie Ricker Username charlie6017 Posts 3220 Joined Thu Mar 11, 2004 9:42 pm Location Holley, New York
Re: busiest spot on the ex cr by shlustig Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:52 am Probably between Elkhart and Englewood. GTW (CN) crosses the chicago Line at South Bend, and west of Porter there is additional Amtrak and CSX traffic. East of Elkhart, good location is Butler where ex-Wabash mainline (DET / STL-KCY) crosses and CP traffic goes west on CR. Username shlustig Posts 1710 Joined Sat Mar 13, 2004 9:11 am
Re: busiest spot on the ex cr by Tadman Wed Feb 29, 2012 2:59 pm I can attest to shlustig's statemtents. I used to live near this main and my office was across the street. It's pretty much the busiest railroad I've ever seen other than the throat tracks of a commuter station at rush hour. The new Acela: It's not Aveliable.
