Hi

here is the latest film made on the last working Bulgarian narrow gauge Railway from Septemvri to Dobrinishte.

The line is about 125 km long, has 35 tunnels and several spirals to climb from about 230 m alt. over two mountains to the summit of 1267 m alt and back to the nice ski area in Bansko/Dobrinishte.
There are still 6 train per day, the line is quite good condition so the heavy diesel with the passanger train manage to whole distance in about 5 hours. Freight traffic has been stopped in 2002.
The steam train was a special and after a long gap, first time passed the whole line. The critical portion between Vellingrad and Amramovo (the summit) is not suitable for the steam special, because of regular traffic and the slower train does not fit into the time table.

Please enjoy the film.

I'm not sure what you mean by "ignored". The colours are very nice in the second picture. They are excellent pictures.

Hi George

They were attached originally to the initial thread, but for some reasons the system lost them (exceeded the 800 pixels limit, however as we see they were smaller than 800 pixels).
Thank you very much for your comments!
