With the help of our members here at RAILROAD.NET, I'd like to try to compile a list of GE Universal Series locomotives operating (or operable) in the United States. This would include locomotives owned by museums and tourist/passenger railroads. The only requirement for inclusion on the list is that the locomotive has to be operable. The owner doesn't necessarily have to be operating it on a regular basis, but it should be operable without needing major repairs, and/or the owner is planning to make those repairs and put the unit back in service. "Stored serviceable" or "laid up good order" locomotives that could be put back into service with minimal effort would be a good example. Another example would be a locomotive that needs a new engine, and the owner is in the process of obtaining the new engine, but hasn't done so yet -- that locomotive could be included on the list, as long as the plan to put the locomotive back into service is firm.
If anyone knows of operable U-Boats in Canada and Mexico, those would be welcome as well.
