Puget Sound and Sierra Hotel are both on the back end of the 19 (8). They were on in Charlotte and still on in Birmingham. The Vbag separates the two domes from the business class car.

Amtrak Platinum Mist Diesel with concrete tie cars on the NE Corridor just South of Street Rd., Eddington, Pa. 5:30 p.m. 4/11/18. There may be tie change equipment on the North end of this train.

Now here is a story you don't hear often.

http://turnto10.com/news/local/amtrak-snack-bar-coach-found-in-warwick-during-35m-renovation-project

A real estate developer who bought the former Pontiac Mills property in Warwick RI discovered an old railroad passenger car hidden away on a siding in a thickly wooded area of the property.

The car is a former New York Central 64 seat coach (Pullman class of 1946) later converted to a 50 seat snack bar coach, later owned by Penn Central and Amtrak, retired circa 1977, when it would have been displaced by Turboliners and Amfleet cars. Sorry, no car number is visible in the images of the car.

I might have enjoyed a burger and a beer on that particular snack bar coach during my Empire Service trips as a student in the early 1970s, behind P-2B motors, FL-9's and E units!

Mr. Deasy: huh, trucks and everything. Seems like a reasonable parts car at the very least, or a stuffed and mounted display at TF Green Station.

That trip is scheduled to be the final excursion for the E units.

Per a friend, it would cost Mr Levin about $100,000 for each E unit to have PTC installed.

A real shame that I have to forward this message. The trip has been canceled.
