It seems that Mr. McPherson is resurfacing as a "shoe-in" candidate for the CSX Board of Directors. It is unfortunate that a person of his ability is not in the RA organization. There is a lot to be said for his abscence from RA.

In fairness to RA, I think they wanted their own people in charge, this is
somewhat common in the industry and is certainally not a reflection on
John McPherson.
Right now business is way down on the Florida East Coast with the
demand for building materials in a slump and the rock trains have been
reduced to two each way a day with extras from time to time.
When I looked a little while ago, there were only three trains on the
entire road between Jacksonville and Miami.
