Freight RR use of cab signals vs PTC (ETMS)

With the upcoming implementation of PTC (Positive Train Control) by the freight railroads, I was curious how roads like NS and CSX with several cab signal equipped routes will use PTC on these lines? Will it be an overlay system, or will these roads scrap cab signals in favor of a stand alone PTC (ETMS) system?
